So, we’re into the first full week of 2013 and here at Interact we are already really looking forward to the exciting developments that will take place in the industry over the next 12 months. Just before Christmas, Interact’s CEO, Nigel Danson provided some insight into what he believed are the seven deadly sins that could be committed by intranet managers in 2013 and now we have taken a look back at our favourite blogs of 2012.

Last year we saw lots of new trends being discussed throughout the intranet community – over Twitter, at the dedicated intranet conference in the UK – Interaction and in the great blogs that are constantly produced by the industry’s top experts and analysts.

In no particular order, here are what we think were the top intranet blogs of 2012:

  1. How is a digital workplace team different from an intranet team? by James Robertson
  2. Big Bang Theory (for intranets) by Luke Mepham
  3. The poor state of enterprise social business by Toby Ward
  4. Content should find people: An essential requirement for any social intranet by Nigel Danson
  5. The management of virtual teams by Martin White
  6. Stop wasting money and time on your intranet By Paul Boag Phillips
  7. Sharing is caring for your intranet by Guy van Leemput
  8. What do you want, a medal? Gamification on the intranet by Sharon O’Dea
