[New York, 28 February 2017] Interact customer, Make-A-Wish® America, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Best Value to Employees’ intranet in Ragan’s 2016 Employee Communication Awards. The accolade is a continuation of Interact’s incredible winning streak at the awards, which dates back to 2012.
To win the award, entrants have to demonstrate that their intranet is a valuable and attractive tool for their employees by showing usability and practicality supported by measurable results. Make-A-Wish achieved this with their refreshed intranet, the introduction of which had potential to be resisted by employees despite the inadequacies of their existing tool.
Josh deBerge, Director, National Communications and PR at Make-A-Wish says: ‘It wasn’t a case of simply rolling out a new tool, the new intranet was introduced as part of a larger change management initiative designed to encourage knowledge sharing within an organization that faced challenges with collaboration and communication between business units. This meant we had to demonstrate its value at all levels to achieve widespread adoption.’
Fighting off serious competition from the likes of Comcast and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in their category, Make-A-Wish showed that its intranet has been a critical tool in achieving organizational change. Winners in other categories include Ford, IBM and Cisco.
Commenting on its sixth consecutive Ragan win, Interact Founder and CEO Nigel Danson says: ‘We’re delighted that another one of our customers has won a Ragan Award. Make-A-Wish is a shining example of how a well thought out intranet is more than just a platform for communicating information out to employees, and instead can be integral to an organization’s culture.’
Past winners of Ragan Awards include Interact customers William Grant, Dollar Finance, The Mediterranean Shipping Company and Sport England.
