Interact Intranet customer nominated in technology and non-profit categories, winners announced June 17.

New York – May 21, 2015 – The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), user of the Interact Intranet platform, was named a finalist in two categories — Best Use in Technology and Non Profit — in the Employee Engagement Awards (EE Awards) presented by Manners & Murphy, Sift Media and WeSpire. The awards, in their first year, recognize businesses and organizations that effectively put their workforces at the heart of their operations.

“We appreciate being recognized for our efforts to connect and engage our nearly 800 staff members across the country by launching our new intranet using the Interact Intranet platform,” said Lindsey Callahan, Sr. Director of Internal Communications for the ASPCA. “We have provided new tools and resources this year to enable our employees, who are dedicated to helping animal victims of cruelty and neglect, to work more collaboratively, creatively and effectively to save and protect animals’ lives.”

Jamie Lawrence, editor of online HR publication HRZone.com, who co-produce the awards, said: “Our shortlist is defined by a common trait: commitment and drive towards creating an environment that is employee-centric and which focuses on improving the experience for everyone who comes into contact with the organization.”

He added: “We are delighted to showcase the work of these companies and look forward to celebrating with them in June.”

Winners will be selected by an expert panel of judges and announced on June 17 at the conclusion of the Employee Engagement Conference in NYC. The day-long conference will bring together a community of employee engagement professionals that wish to learn more and share their experiences, as well as provide best-practice insights, strategies and tools from industry leaders.
