Software Test Analyst (Mobile QA, Automation)

You’ll be pragmatic and detail-orientated enough to carry out testing-to-day, but you’ll also understand that process, tooling, and scalability is ultimately the key to our success.

About the role

As an early member of our Mobile delivery team, you’ll be working with a small team of passionate developers and product leaders to create a best in class mobile solution for workplace collaboration. The role will initially involve time spent on creating and executing test cases and test suites, but in time will transition to maintaining tooling, frameworks, environments, and mentoring junior members of the team.

You’ll have at least two years’ experience in a testing role, and some solid examples of how you’ve helped your team to scale through the implementation of tools, frameworks, and good testing practice. Ideally, you’ll have some experience in a test automation framework such as Selenium, and experience of working with Test Case Management tools.

Our mobile development team is growing quickly and the successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring future newcomers to the team. There will also be opportunities to progress into formal leadership roles and beyond. You’ll be able to demonstrate that you are a great verbal communicator of complex technical concepts.

As part of your role you’ll also be responsible for maintaining and creating the environments we need to thoroughly validate the functionality of our software. Whether that’s hardware, software, or virtualised cloud environments (or a blend of all three).

A little about you...

  • 2+ years’ experience in software testing
  • Written and maintained test cases and test case libraries
  • Fastidious attention to detail
  • Experience of interfacing with REST APIs
  • Experience of using test case management software (e.g. TFS, TestRail, QASymphony)
  • Worked within an Agile (SCRUM / Kanban) environment
  • Some understanding of Automated testing
  • Pragmatic and determined approach to removing obstacles and shipping product
  • Experience of testing mobile apps on iOS and/or Android
  • Previously fostered change within a QA team – technology, methodology, process
  • Implemented a test automation framework (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
  • Written and maintained automated test cases and test libraries
  • Created and maintained test environments (mobile preferred)
