Is HR the missing element of successful digital transformation?

Internal Comms are synonymous with implementing collaborative intranet solutions.

However, the most successful intranets and digital workplaces commonly have a substantial HR involvement. Despite this, HR departments are often involved in project implementation – and left out of the most crucial discussions in the early stages of digital transformation.

This raises the question: why do HR teams not have a heavier presence as a primary stakeholder in ALL engagement-focused digital transformations?

The contrasts and similarities between HR and internal comms roles’ objectives is a rising industry topic. In fact, the panel debate at our annual conference ‘Interaction: Exploring the Digital Workplace’ uncovered some burning questions about HR’s role in digital workplace transformation.

This September, the discussion will be brought online with practitioner Nicola Blair, HR Operational Partner at Addaction, sharing the HR perspective. Joining her will be Scott Fulton, Head of Strategic Digital Services at Avon & Somerset Police, discussing how attitudes can change within digital transformation.

Nigel Williams, Head of Customer Insight at Interact will facilitate the discussion, bringing knowledge and experience working with various Internal Comms and Intranet Managers around the world to explore the roles and responsibilities involved in creating an effective digital workplace.

This webinar will explore:

  • The importance of HR in the development of the digital workplace
  • The internal comms challenges that frequently cross over with HR
  • Real life examples of successful digital transformation and the teams involved
  • Cross departmental barriers when working towards similar goals
