Question Bank

Test your employees’ knowledge and understanding using simple content based tests on your intranet.

Combining cleverly with the Mandatory Read functionality, the Question Bank allows authors to really gain an understanding on whether a user and has understood the content of a document.  By analysing It helps identify skills gaps and training needs resulting in a highly skilled and competent workforce.

Simply Ask Questions

An author can set up as many tests and questions as they like on a document.  They can add images to questions to allow for observation questions e.g. “What does this symbol represent?”, specify the order questions are displayed or even set them to display in a random order.  Users can then finish a test immediately or return at a later stage to complete it.

It’s easy to produce tests with single answer and multiple answer questions in any combination.  This facility makes it easy for you to increase the difficulty of a test by providing a number of possible correct answers.

Set your own pass mark

Authors can set their own pass mark and decide the pass threshold.  Once a test is completed, the user will be notified immediately if he/she has passed.  By assigning ‘learning outcomes’ for each question, users can identify where they need to focus their learning.

Alert on pass or fail

Alert different members of staff on both pass and fail.  The ability to alert different staff members on a fail is useful to make sure anyone failing an important test like ‘Health & Safety’ does not go unnoticed.  Health and Safety officers can be notified immediately and address the issue to help prevent any future accidents. Authorised users will be notified who hasn’t taken the test and can issue a reminder where appropriate.

Extensive Reporting

Extensive Reporting Facility.  View full reports by user, department and question.  Results are displayed in a graphical format illustrating pass and fail percentage rates.  The reports can also be exported to Excel allowing the Manager to present the data in any form required.

Other great features

  • Ability to allow a user to retake a test.  Administrators can allow a user to retake a test with the questions appearing in a randomised order.  This function prevents administrators from creating additional tests for users who failed the first time.
  • Restrict a test to a limited user group within your company.  Each test can be restricted to specific departments, groups or even users.  This facility give test administrators control over who takes what tests.
  • Mandatory test facility.  Create mandatory tests that selected users must take.  A homepage element will prompt users to take any mandatory tests.

So why add questions to your documents?

Users can ensure key corporate messages, policy documents and working practices are really understood by their staff. They encourage staff to read information more thoroughly thereby increasing knowledge pool and in turn increasing efficiency and output.

Questions also ensure that your intranet content is clear and easy to understand.

Finally it’s great to empower employees with self-paced learning programmes.  They can take responsibility for their own learning at a time to suit them resulting in increased job satifsaction and morale.
